Who We Are:
Steven's Wings is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing life-changing travel experiences for underserved youth. We envision a world where all young people, regardless of background, have the opportunity to explore, learn, and grow through travel.
Our Goals:
Provide 20 passports to deserving youth in 2024
Raise $5,000 this year to cover passport fees and application costs
Take 10 students on a transformative trip to Spain in summer 2025
Spread awareness and connect with students by presenting at 8 schools and community groups this year
The Difference You Can Make
As a Volunteer Board Member, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Steven's Wings. Your expertise, dedication, and fresh perspective will be invaluable in achieving our goals. Here's what you can expect:

Board Member Roles:
We're seeking individuals with experience in various fields to fill vital roles on our board, including Vice Chair, Treasurer, Secretary, and Board Member positions. Here are some of the areas where your expertise can make a significant difference:
Travel/Hospitality: Guide us in crafting exceptional travel experiences for our students.
School Board/Education: Leverage your knowledge of youth development and education to shape our programs.
Legal: Provide expert legal counsel and ensure compliance with regulations.
Insurance/Risk Management: Help us mitigate risks and ensure the safety of our participants.
Marketing: Develop impactful marketing strategies to raise awareness and attract donors.
Fundraising: Contribute your talent and network to secure funding for our programs.
Commitment and Qualifications:
Active in the Greater Philadelphia, Pennsylvania area (US residents only)
Expertise in one or more of the areas mentioned
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Passion for diversity, equity, and inclusion in youth development
Commitment to donating $1,000 and raising a minimum of $5,000 annually
Approximately 10 hours per month dedicated to board meetings, committee work, fundraising, and advocacy efforts (meetings held virtually)
One-year term with the possibility of renewal
