Eligibility Criteria:

1. Age Requirement: Applicants must be between the ages of 15 and 18 at the time of travel.

2. Residency: Applicants must be legal residents of the United States.

3. Academic Standing: Applicants must maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5 or equivalent.

4. Enrollment Status: Applicants must be currently enrolled in an accredited middle school, high school, or home-school program at the time of application and during the time of travel.

5. Program Matching: Applicants must meet all program requirements as stipulated by AFS Intercultural Programs, including health, language proficiency (if applicable), and other criteria specific to the country of travel.

Application Process:

1. Submission: Applications must be completed and submitted by the specified deadline. Late submissions will not be considered.

2. Selection Process: All applications will be reviewed by the Steven's Wings selection committee. Selected applicants may be required to participate in an interview.

3. Grant Award: Scholarships will be awarded based on merit, financial need, and alignment with the mission of Steven's Wings and AFS program requirements.

Scholarship Benefits:

1. Coverage: The scholarship will cover the cost of travel, housing, food, and program-related expenses. Personal expenses, insurance, and other incidental costs are not covered unless explicitly stated.

2. Program Participation: Recipients must participate fully in all AFS Intercultural Programs' activities, including pre-departure orientations, on-site activities, and post-trip debriefs.

Conditions of Award:

1. Commitment: Recipients are expected to commit to the full duration of the program. Early withdrawal may result in the forfeiture of the scholarship and the obligation to reimburse costs incurred.

2. Behavioral Expectations: Recipients must adhere to the code of conduct outlined by both Steven's Wings and AFS Intercultural Programs. Any violation may result in the termination of the scholarship and immediate dismissal from the program.

3. Post-Program Requirements: Upon return, recipients are required to complete a reflection report, participate in a debriefing session, and may be asked to engage in outreach or promotional activities on behalf of Steven's Wings.

4. Compliance with Laws: Recipients must comply with all local, state, national, and international laws during their participation in the program.

Liability and Release:

1. Waiver: Steven's Wings and its partners, including AFS Intercultural Programs, are not liable for any injuries, losses, or damages incurred during participation in the program.

2. Insurance: Recipients are required to have adequate health insurance that covers international travel. Proof of insurance must be provided prior to departure.

Amendments and Termination:

1. Changes to Terms: Steven's Wings reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time. Any changes will be communicated to recipients in a timely manner.

2. Termination: Steven's Wings reserves the right to terminate the scholarship at any time if the recipient fails to comply with these terms and conditions.

Acceptance of Terms: By accepting the Global Explorers Program Scholarship, recipients agree to comply with all terms and conditions outlined in this document. Failure to adhere to these terms may result in the forfeiture of the scholarship.
